Viking Packaging Technologies and Masek Packaging Machinery now doing business as Viking Masek Global Packaging Technologies
(Kohler, WI) August 2010 – Viking Packaging Technologies and Masek Packaging Machinery (Vlasim, Czech Republic) announce a new DBA – Viking Masek Global Packaging Technologies. The creation of the DBA signifies the strengthening of the strategic alliance between the two companies and the global expansion of the Viking and Masek lines of vertical baggers, stick pack, and other packaging machinery. Viking Masek Global Packaging Technologies will focus on world-wide customer service, support, and packaging machinery manufacturing and sales from the main headquarters located in Kohler, WI and Vlasim, CZ. Satellite offices in Asia, Latin America, and Western Europe are being added.
The initial business partnership between Viking and Masek was established in 2006. Since that time, the two companies have experienced substantial sales growth and world-wide brand recognition. With the DBA creation, the two companies combine their extensive engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service departments to meet the growing demand for Viking and Masek packaging machinery in the global market. Customers and prospects can expect enhanced packaging machine offerings, growing market exposure, increased project application expertise, continued high levels of service, and additional custom equipment services.
Viking Packaging Technologies has served the North American packaging machinery market for 15 years, supplying Viking vertical form, fill, seal and stick pack packaging machinery primarily to the food and pharmaceutical industries, among others. In 2009, Viking expanded their existing manufacturing facility, engineering, and service offices, as well as adding a machinery demo center.
Masek Packaging Machinery has served the European packaging machinery market for 45 years. In 2002, Masek acquired the German VFFS manufacturer, Vision Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH. In 2010, after decades of growth, Masek moved into their new facility consisting of 60,000 ft2 of production floor and 25,000 ft2 of office space in Vlasim, CZ. They currently have 140 employees and satellite offices in Holland, United Kingdom, and Russia.
In the coming weeks and months, Viking Masek Global Packaging Technologies will be launching a new international website and attending international packaging trade shows including Pack Expo International (Chicago, IL); Fachpack (Nürnberg, Germany); Macropak (Utrecht, Holland); and AFEX (Manilla, Philippines).
